HUNTING IN GERMANY
Hunting experiences with our neighbor to the south!
If you are a rifle hunter, hunting in Germany is guaranteed to be something for you. Our neighboring country to the south is a hunting country with many opportunities. Germany has hunting seasons for red deer, roe deer, fallow deer, sika deer, mouflon, wild boar, fox, raccoon dog, and raccoon. The country thus offers very varied hunting. Germany has the right biotopes, which means perfect living conditions for all the huntable game species. Germany is covered by 11 million hectares of forest, which corresponds to approximately 31% of the country’s size.
Hunting in Germany all year round
You can hunt in Germany all year round. Many Danish hunters make use of this, and we are experiencing an ever-increasing demand for the various forms of hunting that Germany can offer.
Driven hunt/pressure hunt
The German driven hunts are very well organized and with a large number of hunters, between 30 and 100 men. Here we will typically be represented with 10 Danish guests.
A hunting day often starts with registration around 8 o’clock. This is followed by a very detailed instruction of the upcoming hunt. If necessary, this instruction will be translated into Danish by the guide who is always with us from B og H Jagtrejser.
The hunt itself usually lasts about 3 – 4 hours. Very large areas are driven through and it is done quietly and calmly. Typically, there is also driving from several sides. This has an advantage, as the game often comes out to the shooters more slowly, who get the opportunity to shoot in a controlled manner and enable selection of the right game.
Our driven hunts in Germany typically last 2 to 4 days.
Stalking
On these hunts, you will be looked after by our German hunters. You are driven to your post and picked up again when the hunt is over, or when you call and report that you would like to be picked up. If you have been lucky enough to kill a piece of game, they will help you recover, break it down, and hang it to cool. If you have been unlucky and made a bad shot, they will of course also help with the search.
It will be possible to combine these hunts on different game species such as:
- Roe deer
- Red deer
- Fallow deer
- Wild boar
- And of course, predators
The stalking hunts can be arranged for groups of up to 8 people.
